Rituals Sophisticated Beauty Set + Giveaway!

09/30/17

Hello everyone! I know it’s been a while since the last time I posted, but life happened and it took me a while to get back. On Friday I received my Rituals prize (I won it on their twitter), so I figured this would be a perfect time to come back and post some swatches of products we don’t really see a lot out there.

Wondering how I won this set? Or maybe not, but anyway… :D Rituals had a giveaway on their twitter account asking for our best makeup tips, and I was one of the winners. I won the Sophisticated Beauty Set which contained seven products in total: Cheek & Eye Glow in Peach, Duo Eyeshadow in Gold & Dark Brown, lipsticks in Candy Pink and Pink Coral, lipgloss in Peach Pink and Intense Color Eye Pencil in shades Bronze Taupe and Black.

I had to immediately swatch these products because I haven’t used anything from Rituals in a while (I’m talking about makeup, not skincare since I’m using their skincare on a regular basis). I know these photos look a bit blurry and I’m sorry about that, but I think you’ll survive. ;) Anyway, let’s take a look at swatches and at the end of the post you can find a tiny giveaway and win something from this set :)

Cheek & Eye Glow – shade Peach
Price: 275 SEK / $34 / €28.50
Amount: 9 grams

Intense Color Eye Pencil – shades Bronze Taupe (left), Black (right)
Price: 100 SEK / $12.27 / €10
Amount: 0.35 g

Lipgloss – shade Peach Pink
Price: 135 SEK / $16,5 / €14
Amount: 5 ml

Duo Eyeshadow – shade Gold & Dark Brown
without eyeshadow base (left) / with Too Faced Shadow Insurance eyeshadow base (right)
Price: 215 SEK / $26 / €22
Amount: 1 gram
Comment: this is a really pricey eyeshadow! Only 1 gram of product?! Wow! Don’t remember the last time I came across such an expensive eyeshadow (I always compare the price with the amount I’m getting).

Giveaway

As you maybe noticed, I haven’t swatched the lipsticks I got. That’s because these colours aren’t my cup of tea and I figured I’d rather give them away to someone who maybe likes these colours.

There are two shades and if you’d like to win one, simply leave a comment down below and tell me which shade you’d like to win:

  • Candy Pink (black packaging), or
  • Pink Coral (golden packaging)

This giveaway is open worldwide. Two winners will be picked randomly. Winners will be contaced by e-mail and they have to reply back to me in 48 hours. Giveaway ends Friday, October 6 at 23:59 (CEST).

What are your thoughts on these products?

New In | July

07/05/16

Another month, another new in post! Even though, to be precise, these products are part of my June haul since I purchased these products in June (sale game here in Sweden is really serious, especially after their biggest holiday – Midsummer!). Anyway, I chose to publish them in July since I did get them at the end of the previous month and, hopefully, I won’t be buying anything in July so I can consider this as my July haul. ;)

Let me start with my new gadget – Foreo LUNA mini 2! I was really looking forward to it and I hope it will be worth the price and the hype! My experience with purchasing from their website wasn’t the best one, but their customer service is really excellent and we solved my issue very quickly!

I was debating with myself whether I’ll go to The Body Shop or if I’ll just skip it altogether, but I ended up checking out what’s on sale and I ended up getting these four shower gels! For some reason, I had only one showering product (the one from Ritual’s Sakura collection) so it wasn’t a bad decision to get these since I had some extra discount so I got these four for the price of one (the regular price)! That was a good deal, I must say! :) I got Papaya, Raspberry, Blueberry and Passion fruit shower gels.

My next product is from Rituals – another Sakura product in my collection! This collection is SO amazing that I keep collecting products from it! I will let you know what I think of this collection next week, just until I test my products a tiny bit longer. :)

I’m not really attracted to Lumene products usually, but I ended up getting three products – Bright Touch Refreshing Cleanser (which I use with my LUNA mini 2), Soft Touch Hydrating Cleanser (I planned to use this one with my LUNA mini 2, but figured too late that I picked the wrong type of product since this one is applied to dry skin and not wet, which is what I was looking for so I went back for the refreshing cleanser and I’ll give this one to my friend), Vitamin C Day Cream (I really did need a new day cream so I decided to try this one since a friend of mine tried the one with the SPF in it and said it was a good one; I didn’t get the one with the SPF since I have a separate cream for that – mine SPF crema is from John Masters Organic).

Anyway, I’ve been using these products shortly, but I will give you an update on how they worked out for me. So far, so good. :)

Nail polishes ♥

After a long, long time of checking which shades to get, I finally got some Zoya nail polishes and, to be honest, I got them just because they were on sale. :D Their regular price is really high and this is the first time I caught them on sale and I’m really glad for that! Their regular price is 150 SEK (around 17$) and right now many shades are on sale for (only) 50 SEK (6$).If you’re in Sweden (or some other Nordic countries, I think they ship only to this area), you can get them HERE. Shipping for 4 nail polishes was 39 SEK and they arrived two days after I placed my order.

Shades I got are (clockwise): Racquel, Demi (not what I expected, I thought this was a cream shade?), Sam and Miley (on my nails right now! gorgeous!).

And, like Zoya nail polishes weren’t enough, Åhlens had some Ciate shades on sale, they were 50% off and I ended with three shades (l-r): fool for tulle, white heat, burlesque. I think I’m done with buying nail polishes for a few months! :D

What did you get recently? Is something from my latest haul on your wish list, maybe? :)

New In ♥

Since I’ve managed to collect a handful selection of new products, here’s one new in post were I’ll show you and tell a bit about products I purchased lately.

I’ll start with one of my favourite brand when it comes to skin care – Green Girl Aromakozmetika, a small privately owned business from Croatia. I discovered this brand a few years ago and I’ve been loving it ever since. Greta (the owner) makes one of the best hand made skin care products and I can’t recommend her enough. Once again, I ordered Take it off balm (the best product for removing ANY eye makeup!), and Touch my skin gel mask which contains AHA. I’ll be also trying a new product, Shame on you body butter, and I just opened it a little bit to smell it and, oh my!, it smells so heavenly! ♥

Rituals had 20% off on everything for Black Friday so I used that opportunity to finally buy Yin calming bed & body mist (199 SEK) and to get another box of Emperor’s Dream tea (50 SEK). This is my favourite tea from their range and I recommend it if you want something relaxing before going to bed. When it comes to Yin, I tried it and can say it’s really calming. I can already see myself using it all the time. :)

Urtekram is one of my latest discoveries. I’ve been actually buying their food for a while now but just recently got into their cosmetic range as well. A few weeks back I purchased shampoo from their Rose range and I went back to get the conditioner (51.90 SEK) and roll-on (39 SEK), too. I love this collection, it has a nice and gentle scent and shampoo is working well for me so I figured I want to try other products as well. I haven’t tried them yet though, so I can’t comment just yet. Aloe Vera Shower Gel is for my husband. :)

I’ve been reading a lot about dry brushing and I even watched some tutorials and even though I’ve been thinking for a long time how I want to try it, I didn’t manage to buy a brush until a few days ago. I came across a small range of ecotools brushes at my local pharmacy and one of the brushes they had was this Dry Body Brush (99 SEK). I already tried it and I can say that I was expecting it to be a bit rougher but, it’s not. It’s actually soft, but not too soft and it works well. I wished they had a brush with a removable handle, but since they don’t, I went rather for this brush instead of getting the one with handle (they have it as well).

Just a bit of nail products – China Glaze Change Your Altitude, China Glaze Sleeping Under The Stars (both were on sale at H&M; 59.50 SEK/each) and Depend Ginseng Nail Serum (129 SEK) (something for my poor nails, for some reason I have some issues right now and I hope this product will help a bit).

 photo new-in-november05_zpswmz6dyzb.jpg

My latest catch, this one is actually from yesterday – IsaDora Golden Edition Holiday Palette (179 SEK), H&M Colour Essence Eye Pencil (49.50 SEK) and H&M Soft Kajal Eye Pencil (39.50 SEK). I’ll be posting some swatches tomorrow. This palette is GORGEOUS!!! :D

 photo new-in-november08_zpsmqla5l1t.jpg

Last but not least – Pukka tea (45 SEK/each)! Haven’t tried the womankind but I did try the other, relax, one and I can say that it really is relaxing. I’ve been under some stress lately and I’m happy I got it because it is helping me to relax. ♥

So, that would be it for now! I will be reviewing most of these products in the future so stay tuned! :)
